Idea cellular demanding payment for services not availed by me

DEAR SIR, PL NOTE THAT I JUST RECD AN INTIMATION ON MY MOBILE FROM IDEA CELLULAR CO SAYING THAT I OWE THEM RS.5000/- TWDS BILL ON MOBILE THAT IS NOT USED BY ME. I TOLD THEM THAT I DONT HAVE ANY SUCH NUMBER BUT THEY SAY THAT I WILL HAVE TO MAKE PAYMENT AS SERVICES HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY ME.

PLEASE GUIDE HOW TO DEAL WITH THE SITUATION.

Send them a legal reply denying your usage. it appears they have made a mistake.

If you are using a smartphone it is easy otherwise also you can copy the text/sender's number of ID/date and time and send it to the customer services narrating that you have already explained on dated................by phone call at number...............and Mr/Ms....................at this number of IDEA did not pay any heed, did not issue any complaint number and forced to pay sum of Rs.......as demanded in SMS......................and demand that M/s IDEA should be apology in writing accepting their default and compensate you for mental harassment,tension, financial loss......................................and withdraw their demand of illegal payment .............You can proceed thru your lawyer............

M's IDEA shall have to supply the certified copy of CAF,physical verification report,your ID/address proof duly marked OSV by IDEA,bills (itemised) etc......

Your lawyer would know how to handle it.

If you send a letter by RAD stating that you never took the SIM from idea and the company is unnecessarily harrassing you advising them to stop this henceforth. Also state that if they continue to harass you like this, you will file a complaint in consumer forum, they will stop sending such reminders.

Reply the Message received on Mobile confirming that you have not used the services and nothing is payable from your side.

Communicate the denial in writing and secure the evidence so created so that in case of any furtherance to the issue, it may be of evidential value in a court case at a later stage.
