Impact of not attending mact case on respondent.

Hi,

I have a currently a MACT case in progress.

I have already filed written statement and judge have asked Petioner to file evidences via affidavit.
Since I have currently moved out of the city it is not possible for me to attend the further hearings.
I have following queries.
1. What will be the impact on the respondent(me) if neither me nor my lawyer attends the case from now onwards.
2. I have decided to continuously moniter the progress on the each hearing via cause list website and then if needed ask my lawyer to attend susequent hearing to clarify my stand(if anything goes against me). This is inline with the suggestion from some of the esteemed experts of the forum.
3. Please let me know if I need to take care of anything else.

Please note that I had a valid insurance and valid DL at the time of accident and lawyer from insurance company is currently attending the case.

the respondents need not to appear in al hearings before mcop cases.. you should be appear at the time of evidence., thats enough., rest of this your advocate can appear on behalf of you through the vakalat nama..
