Inclusion of victim as a party

My niece is the victim in a prosecution case. She wants that she be made a party in the case so that so that there is check on the PP and he is not able to connive with with the accused who are influential and rich people.
Please advise as to how can this be done.

You can conduct the prosecution, with the permission of the Magistrate, in terms of the provisions of Section 302 CrPC.

There is no legal issue if the complainant also engages her private counsel in the case.

If it is a state case, only PP is permitted to prosecute the case, of course on an application to assist the PP, by the defacto complainant, an advocate of his choice may be permitted to assist the PP but only to the extent assistance but cannot prosecute.
