Inheritance of parental property

(Querist) 10 August 2014 This query is : Resolved
Sir,

we are 3 sisters. My father has 3 floors constructed house and is residing in one floor and my another sister residing on 2nd floor. The 3rd remaining floor is rented and beneficiary being my father.
My father has made a will mentioning each floor in the name of each one of us.(will is duly registered & also shown to me by my father on his recent visit to my house)

I am not in good terms with my remaining 2 sisters and stay away.
My other 2 sisters had tried to do manipulation in getting floors preference and certain other things relating to financial matters. I fear that they may not play mischief with will and harm or create problems for my right in the property.
What is it that I can do legally or take precaution to protect my right. Pls advise as I stay away and also not in good terms with my other 2 sisters.

As long as your father is alive you can do nothing.
After his death the Will comes into effect and all of you will be bound by the directions mentioned din the Will.

I agree with Devajothi sir. But I have a suggests ion. You may request your father to settle your share which is mentioned in WILL and cancel the present WILL . he may write any number of wills in his life time. So he can write new will for remaining shares of your sisters

the will reflects your father disposition of his property on his demise . since he has shown you his last will request your father to give you a copy of same for your record . manipulation by your sisters wont serve any purpose as each sister has been given one floor each . choice of floor to be given to each sister would be as per your father wish ,

You can request your father to give your share as per his wish by way of Gift deed/transfer deed etc.................since you are staying away and are apprehensive.

Your father is a thorough gentleman and he has shown the WILL to you.

Since the WILL is registered at least in this WILL manipulations are not possible.

I do agree with the experts hence no more to add.

No need to enquired any thing regarding your fathers will , this is not a legal query you asked , your father had done a mistake to show you his will , now you are thinking for yourself how early i get my share and also guessing about your sisters cospirancy , why your father in advance gives you his copy of the will , what had other done wrong to him , you don't worry will is registered and the copy of this will is safe in the sub registrar office , don't try to give him advise to make gift deed in your favour or change your will etc, etc ....... , it is his wish what he think good .

Believe in your father and his will. You may tell your apprehension to him.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 10 August 2014
Your father seems to be a thorough gentleman and might have shown the WILL to all beneficiaries and might have updated witnesses as well.

You can speak to your father.
He might agree to provide a copy to all.

All the advises given by experts above are excellent. Better to follow which ever suits your present taste or which you feel will cast away your fears or apprehensions in this regard.
