Mother owns one flat in her name Father died long before. Deceased have only two sons. What is the procedure to get changes all the records of flat which is in mother name to any one brother name. Mother died without any will and family belongs to sunni muslim family.

Since it is house property, the local authority to be contacted to get the name change by producing the death and legal heir certificates.

The settlement is required to be executed and registered between both the brothers in the office of registrar in the given facts.

The two brothers may devide the property in two shares as they mutually agreed and get a Partition Deed registered if there are no other legal heirs. After registration of Partition Deed they may apply for mutuation of property in their names.
