We are all UK residents and passport holders. My father died without a will, leaving behind my mother and us 5 children.

We would like the land in his name in punjab to be transferred into the sole name of our mother, so we have given her power of attorney and executed a deed of relinquishment in her favour. Will there be any payable tax on 1) My mother inheriting my father's land, 2) Us children relinquishing our rights over the land in favour of our mother?
