Injustice done by bank

I had a personal savings and company's current account in one nationalised bank. I had a dispute with the party from whom I purchased the business. He had an access to my personal cheque on which he put a company's seal (stamp) & presented to the bank. Obviously, a savings account cheque having a company stamp, bank should have rejected it. But as usual, lethargic staff bounced it with the remark 'insufficient funds'. The party sued me under N.I.Act 138.
It happened in 2000. I had to fight the case and got it dismissed. Simultaneously, I had filed case against him under IPC 467, 467, 471 420 etc.which is in process.
My question is whether I can sue bank for the damages & mental torture I faced due to the negligence on their part after lapse of almost 12 years?

no . you ought to have filed case at the earliest . after 12 years what is the sense in filing case . close your account with the bank

Dear Querist
now you can not claim any damage or compensation from bank due to bank official negligence, why did you not do any thing against bank that time.

My name is Suhas Shivalkar, Pune. The bank in question is Canara Bank.
I could not file case earlier because;
1.I wasn't aware,
2.My earlier lawyer did not tell me who was contesting my 138 & 471 cases,
3.I was engrossed with the said cases mentally & financially that I could not...
