Is it legally viable for us to install cctv cameras inside the rooms given for rent to other offices for SECURITY REASONS only. We have cctv cameras installed only on the outside areas of our premises.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 23 January 2016
If the condition was not specifically mentioned and agreed in the rent deed / lease deed, CCTV as mentioned can not be installed. It may adversely effect commercial interest of the tenant / leaser and he may not allow.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 23 January 2016
It may be breach of privacy as well.
