Dear sir .
I have paid all the dues on time a cheque in 2006 was unpaid and then I paid in cash the very next day. And charges as well after so many years now finance house has accumulated charges and getting treating call need assistance

if you are in the clear then wait for the court summons.police cannot threaten you on telephone. tell the police caller to send his query in writing. if it persists report directly to the SHO and should the need arise to the SP

Actually upon final settlement of any loan, the company issues a settlement letter, clearance letter or N.O.C. as proof of closure of loan account. If you have any such document in hand, you need not worry or respond to such calls. In case you receive any summon from court, consult an experienced local lawyer for taking suitable legal recourse.

The Delhi police may not have contacted you, somebody impersonating Delhi police would have made the call, on next call you may ask the police station from which they call and prefer a complaint against the caller because police have concern with this util there is a criminal complaint against yo in this regard.
