my case on the above subject(IPC 498(a) is over dramatically.
I need the judgement copies .
what should i do to get copies of the judgement and clerk in my advocate office is asking me to pay Rs 1000 for getting and how long will it take to get copies .It will be in stamp papers or in normal white sheets and will it bear any signatures

U may get the petition no. and fill up the form for certified copy and file it in the copying branch u will get the same .

You can write an application on a plain paper for certified copy of order affixing sufficient court fee stamp (Rs.5/-)
Then you have to pay the cost of the certified copy which is Rs.4/- per page for ordinary and Rs.7/- per page for urgent.
You don't need the services of an expert to obtain the certified copy.
Once you pay the charges, the court staff will inform you to come and collect the order copy after 3 days / 5 days as the case may be.

if you want a certified copy it will take time . you can obatin ordinary copy of the order . contact the clerk of said court and take his help

Dear Mr.Sethi,
Unlike in the High Court, the certified copy will not take much time in the lower courts.
I suppose the present case was in a Magistrates court.

Agreed with above expert advise.
And clerk demand for services is also reasonable, as if pages exceeds 50, it may cost 200-350 + his services, etc,
You can save time and trouble.
Try in few courts, , no xerox working, take out , files missing, it go through over 12 different persons, and depending upon load of work, and their attitude, it takes miserably long time, and many days to follow up.
Corrupts machinery made it troublesome, and even we pay off to save time and trouble in Thane Court & in Mumbai. Even urgent TC for EX-5 STAY ORDER, took 8 days. with urgent charges. Long POrocedure. Vacant Courts, Concerned staff Absent, & so n are excuses. Pay & get immediately!!
Some Courts, it is very easy, fast and delivered honestly.
I was very much impressed in Rajasthan State Courts, that non urgent True copies were ready the next day without any extra payments.
even in Gujarat State, it is fast & cheap. Only reqd copy charges.
So it depend from Court to Court, to delegate the job to Clerk, or do by yourself.

Yes take help of an advocate or a law clerk and apply for certified copy.

It would have been better for you to negotiate with the clerek of your lawyer who has faced you since last many years. Such persons having very meagre sources of income remain depend upon persons like you. Instead of inviting trouble, negotiate with him and get it done within 3-4 days.
