Eligibility of Diploma in IPR Holders for Document Writer Licensing in Tamil Nadu

Dear Sir,

I am writing to inquire whether holders of a Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are eligible to be licensed as document writers in Tamil Nadu. I would appreciate any guidance or information regarding the legal requirements and procedures for obtaining a document writer license in the state.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely,
Gokula Krishnan S

To be eligible for a document writer's license in Tamil Nadu, you must meet the following conditions:
Have a degree from a recognized university
Be able to type in Tamil and English, either at a lower or higher grade
Pass the Document Writers' Licensing Test
The Tamil Nadu Document Writers Licence Rules, 1982 regulate the profession of document writing.
In K.Suresh Babu vs The Inspector General Of Registration on 11 April, 2014, The Madras high Court pertinently points out that for the qualification for the post of Document Writer under Rule 7(2) of the Tamil Nadu Document Writers Licence Rules, 1982 is that (i)A degree from a recognised University; (ii) Typewriting either by lower or higher grade both in Tamil and English; Provided that a diploma in Computer Application shall be an additional qualification.

Thank you Mr.Kalaiselvan T for your valuable answer...I have completed an MCA and am considering pursuing a diploma in IPR. Would this qualification support my goal of becoming a Tamil Nadu Document Writer? As per the Tamil Nadu Document Writers Licence Rules, 1982, I understand that I need to pass the Document Writers' Licensing Test. Do I also need to pursue a law degree, or is my current qualification sufficient?
