Ld Counsels,
A complaint was filed alleging dowry demand and I have got AB from high court. I have also given my statment during investigation. No FIR was registered.
After one and half months another complaint was filed and a FIR was registered u/s 420,417. In the second complaint there are allegations of threat to life to the complainant. This is made to harass me. I have received summons from court u/s 420 and 417. Now do I need a bail for the second complaint. The investigation is over for the second complaint. KIndly clarify what will happen to first bail and why do I need second bail. No FIR was registered on first complaint.
Kindly clarify the proposition of law in this regard and I pesonally dont like to go thro another surrender and surety process for the second complaint. Even my lawyer didnot advise for another bail. Will the court ask for bail for the second complaint on the first appearance.
Pls clarify.
Thanks

You have to take bail for the S417, 420 also, because it is a different case and different allegation. There is no connection between any cases, i mean, in terms of bail.

Rajeev and Jayahree are right. Since the two cases are different, you will have to give bail in that case. There no question of surrender if you have received a summons from the court about the second complaint. As a matter of procedure, as soon as you appear before the court as per summons, you are deemed to be in custody of the court and supposed to file bail application
