Is it safe to purchse?

I am looking to purchase a Plot which is a part of a survey number,(eg..2) under BBMP. The survey no. of the said property is found notified by BDA for new road(PRR). But the seller is telling that the road pass through the survey no. but the the plot which I will be purchasing is passing at a distant of 50ft away from the road as per road survey. As per the CDP of BDA the road is touching the survey number but the plot is away from the road 50-30 ft.Is it safe to purchase the plot?

Meet the BDA officials and try to take their confirmation of real status of the particular plot.If they give any positive answer and if the rates are competitive you could go ahead
