judgiing own cause

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 02 January 2011 This query is : Resolved
I have read that a legal principle says-----NO ONE SHALL BE A JUDGE IN HIS OWN CAUSE -- but I could not find any case law in support. Where can I find this subject or discussion ?

find out A.K Kraipak's case

enough for basic interpretation.

the exact principle is

"nemo judex in causa sua"
s.subramanian (Expert) 02 January 2011
Perfectly right. You can study this in detail in Principles of Administrative Law by M.P.Jain and S.N.Jain.
V.T.Venkataram (Expert) 03 January 2011
As you have put it rightly, It is a principle of natural justice that no person can judge a case in which they have an interest.
"Nemo iudex in causa sua" is a Latin phrase which means that no-one should be a judge in their own cause .
N.K.Assumi (Expert) 03 January 2011
Correctly stated and nothing to add.
Kirti Kar Tripathi (Expert) 09 January 2011
