What is the Jurisdiction of Process Server.....means....Can A process Server serve the summons of court at any address OR he is duty bound to serve the summons on the address written on the summons only.
Example:
A process server is required to serve summons to One person namely "XXXX" at address 'Y'... but after reaching the address 'Y' the process server came to know that the person "XXXX" is living at new address 'Z' and has left the old address 'Y'.

Can process server serve the summons to that person "XXXX" at new address 'Z' ..???
And... Is it a vaild service...??

The process server should be bound to serve the notice to that person even if he changed the address as the case relates to the court where he is working.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 24 September 2023
The duty of the process server is to serve the summons in the given address, he cannot go beyond his stipulated jurisdiction.
If the addressee is not found in the given address, the process server has to return the summons to the court concerned with his remarks that why he could not serve the summons and should not act in excess of his duty.

The query is whether the process Server can serve the summons of court at any address OR he is duty bound to serve the summons on the address written on the summons only. The query is not of the jurisdiction of the court.
In fact the process server cannot go at any other address of the party to serve the summons except the address given on the summons. I fully agree with Mr. T. Kalaiselvan. It is duty of the process to inform the situation exist at the spot to the Honorable court..
