Jwellery stolen police not taking proper action

(Querist) 29 July 2013 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir

We had lost 50 soverign of Gold ornaments in a marraige function.
we stayed before night in marriage mahal rooms, the person working in marriage hall stole the ornament bag from the room after opening the room door

at around early morning 0215 hrs while 4 person sleeping in the room, those who are sleeping in the same room didn;t see the theif.

Around 0300 hrs we found ornament bag missing & door wide open.
police has informed FIR registered on 19 June 2013

police has not actively investigating the matter this has lead to dead end even after 45 days,

so we had investigated personally all the workers in their house, who worked on that day in Marriage hall
and found evidence about particular person who has spent several lakhs of rupees on devoloping his house after the theft date 19 june 2013
he claims he had sold his own jewellerys , but back ground check reveals he doesn't has any money or jwels before, he is the culprit he was there in

the mahal on the particular day. all the evidence point out to him.

Now the problem is we cannot tell the particular thing to police inspector handling the case as he is incompetent, corrupt and favouring the accused

1) what option we had can we complain to district Superindentent of police, collector or others
2) As time passes we had lesser oppurtunity to recover all jewelery.
3) Please advise the correct & optimum option available for the same.

The complaints regarding stolen or lost properties are being given to police with a hope that they are capable to find out the same by conducting due investigation. It is one of the duty of police. So that they are designated as Investigation agency with enormous power.

Therefore, you can send a complaint through Registered Post with A/D to the superior officer of Police about the inaction of them on your complaint.

You can also approach the Court for directing the police to take appropriate action.
