It is wrong to anticipate on the basis of the name of the querist.

Probably, the question pertains to the khasi community, which mostly belongs to Assam and/or Meghalay.

However, the querist should be clear in his query to state where the land is situated and whether that lands belongs to khasi community or not or to any other backwards class.

Please don't keep the experts in a guessing position, as you have not responded back even after five responses.

I apologise for the delay.I am from Agartala,the capital of the north eastern state of TRIPURA.Its not a matter of khasi community.I am a bengalee by origin and the land concerned is a piece of KHAS land.I would like to know the general succession laws for KHAS land succession.Thanks in advance..
