As of now, there is no age bar either for admission to LL.B. Course or to the Bar Council.
However, there is only a proposal with B.C.I. to fix the maximum age limit for admission to LL.B. Course as 30 years.

The age limit is already implemented in many of the states.
I myself had challenged the age limit for my client, which is pending in HC.

Dear Mr. Arunagiri,
The age limit is for admission to the LL.B. Course or to the Bar Council. Furthe, what is the age limit? Has it been codified by BCI?

The age limit is fixed by BCI for the admission to the law degree.
The Dr.Ambedkar Law University, Tamil Nadu had introduced the age limit of 30 years for general and 35 years for SC/ST candidates for the 3 Year B.L. (Regular) Degree Courses from the academic year 2009-2010 as per its Information Booklet.
Many of the law universities and the affiliated law colleges of universities in India have not yet followed the notification of age limit under Part IV, Schedule III, Item 28 of the BCI Rules of Legal Education adopted on 14th September, 2008 vide resolution No. 110/2008.
In my client's case the HC passed an interim order "one seat reserved". Still it was not finally disposed.
