We , have decided to take mcd and my 17 yr old son will live with me as decided. I want to send my son abroad for further studies, but if I apply as a single parent my eligibility as a sponsor is not enough by income tax papers. . If we club ( me and my wife) the income. .it is done ... my question is..
1) can we club the income as a parents though we got devorsed ?
2) as my wife was a earning person but now she has stopped working. . If she starts working againg ... does she has any liability towards our son's future expenses like study and marriage. .. ( I mean can i ask a share form her ) ... if yes.. do I need to mention it in devorse deed ..?
3) is it compulsory to mention the reason for devorse ( it is a case of infidelity by her ... and she donot want to mention the reason )

Once divorced,how can U club her earnings .Only on humanitarian grounds she has a liability towards her son,other wise even if the son was with your wife,the husband has to take care of the maintenance of the son.

Prima facie, you are not willing to pay the price for MCD. Perhaps, what is required is to rethink.

a) after divorce you can not club the income of your wife. If she so desire, can stand as guarantor.
b) Generally financial institutions consider the IT return of last three years for income.
She is not liable for the studies of son if living with you if not specially mentioned in MCD terms.
c) Depends on the requirement of financial institution.

You have decided to take MCD or already taken? There is no question of sponsorship by the parents. Sponsorship is to be from a person who is having income in that country to take care of the expenses of the student in case of need. What you are asking is capability certificate to convince the VISA authorities that the student has sufficient means for maintenance in abroad with the support of the parents. Since it has to be submitted by the student, he can as well club the Income of his mother, though she is separated from you.
