Sir,
I eager to know that can as advocate can I open my office with name "SUN LEGAL CENTER"?
or "DIVYA JYOT LAW FIRM"?
Is it necessary to register?
what will affect in annual tax return?
I am sole proprietor!!!

Registration not necessary if it is sole proprietorship concern. You can put any name. The only thing prohibited is advertisement/publicity of the same. Service tax and income tax will be attracted.

Yes, you can prectise with such name. there is no bar. no registration is required.If you start partership with atenwith other lawyers then it can be registered.

I agree with the other experts, You can open office with any name you like keeping in mind that no other such firm is in your are. As far as the registration is concerned there is no such requirement, however, in certain cases registration is required under the Bar Council Laws but it is not compulsory only it attracts some benefits. With regard to the taxation issue it is mentioned that the lawyers like other business are also liable to pay taxes therefore, it is not a big issue as being a fir also you have to pay the taxed.

If you are single advocate you can not put any name. If you are group can form partnership, LLP and can put any name to the group.
But you will have taxation problems. No exemption for partnership firm in IT and depending on your state rules firm as well partners will have to pay proffessional tax to state govt.
