Lawyer is not going for hiring & providing fake information about case

Dear sir,
We have file and civil suit 5 years back. At the time of accepting the case the advocate has shown us beautiful dreams about our case that we will definitely win the case, but as soon as we made the made of his fees his nature gets changed. Since long we are pressuring him to do work accurate so he started providing us fake information.
So here please provide me information that how i can back check the information my advocate has provided me.
Along with that please provide me information that which government institute or association i need to contact to create a pressure on my advocate so that he will work accurately for my case.
I had paid big amount of fees to the lawyer so right now i cant replace.
so please provide me information what should i need to do in this situation.

Engage another advocate and take his assistance to get all necessary information and present status of the case.
You can hire new advocate replacing him after asking for return of few portion of the fees already paid.

Thank you for your prompt reply sir but i don't think so that he will provide me any refund because he has taken fee on cash basis and even not given me receipt of it.
can i go for disciplinary complaint with bar council, because he has trap me in such a way that i cant do any thing legally. he has not given any document through which i can do anything. He has even not given vakilatnama copy for any proceeding with other government agency. He is doing work as per his convenience and not providing me documents that what he had done in any proceedings.
Along with that please guide what kind of care i should take if i will replace my advocate. What kind of documentation work i need to do with my new lawyer to be safe in future.

Yes, you can do so if he has failed deliver his duties.
No amount of documentation can keep you safe.
It is better to give fees of hearing basis than paying whole of it at a time.

Better engage another lawyer. Any service provider who is not loyal and sincere to its customer may not survive longer.
