i have a query regarding taking a land on lease. i want to take a land on lease for 25 years. now i planned to get the agreement registered on stamp paper only. but now i have come to know that it is compulsory to get it registered in land revenue office as stamp paper can be used for a period of less than a year only. please clarify me the process and its advantage over the other

All lease which are longer than 11 months have to be registered. Yes it is compulsory to register such document. Get the lease deed typed on a stamp paper and pay the required stamp duty and register it in the sub-registrar office of your place. Take the help of a local lawyer.

consult local lawyer.

Obtain the help of a local lawyer as the lease-deed is required to be well drafted and then registered.
