Leave and Licence Registered notary

(Querist) 22 April 2019 This query is : Resolved
Sir,

I wanted to know how much fees is charged on Registered Notary under the Notary rules 1956.

I am a LL.B student and I don't know about how Notary is worked. I also wanted to know whether a notary can attested if both the party is absent if yes then how the names can be entered in the books

Rule 10 of The Notaries Rules 1956 gives clear table for fees chargeable by Notary.

If both parties needs their instrument to be notarized, then must be present with their identification proof. They have to sign the register of Notary after the details been entered in it. In case of physical infirmity due to which any person cannot appear in person in front of notary, then such notary may travel to such person's residence but it is based on facts and circumstances.
