Leave company without serving the notice period

I have left the company without serving the notice period of 3 months and have joined other company. Inform ed the previous company that due to my ill health I will not be coming. But I have not signed any bond it's just the appointment letter signed.kindly suggest

You have posted sick leave information/intimation or mentioned about resignation also in the same communication?
What is response of employer?

Read the contents of your appointment letter once again you will find 2-3 months notice period mentioned therein.
In that situation you will have to repay the amount of notice period otherwise, your dues shall be withheld and you will not get relieving letter, which is required in new company, if not presently it would be required at a later date. Besides this, new employer shall be inquiring qua your character and anticidents from your last employer.
It would be difficult for employee to join/leave the job at his/her own will and wish without seeking clearnace/no dues/no objection from previous employer.
