a certain individual is said to have assigned the income of his landed property for a temple celebration on a specific day. It is termed as endowment. There are many endowments for the same purpose on the same day.The temple does have any documentary proof of assignment as told by it.The land was directly leased to occupying tenants on oral agreement 100 years ago and no legal agreement with the occupants. There was no restriction on the type of building for occupation by tenants. The endowment is only for the specific purpose of celebration and did not contain any clause for profiteering by the temple using the property by levying rent arbitrarily. Is there any judgment by supreme court that endowment can improve the income out of the property.
thanks

Thanks for the flash reply. I can pick up here if only a judgment is refered. In the above, the land owner had direct dealings regarding the land occupation by tenants before he assigned the income for the one day celebrations. thanks sir

Yes, it is permissible. There are such precedents. Ask your lawyer.
