Good evening sir
I would like to know that i have my old birth certificate with me but i need to do correction in my surname i did affidavits but on this would like to know is there a way i can do this without going to a place where i born or is it compulsory to visit at my moms first place and do corrections in local panchayat.
Please give me good tips where i can do from goa

you will have to visit personally to have corrections made in your birth certificate

you should visit the office of Registrar of Births and Deaths in your city where your birth took place and file an application for rectification in the prescribed format. you cant do it from GOa wherein you are presently residing

Birth certificate is very difficult to correct and the same is to be done from the same place.
However for affidavit you can do so from your present residence.

Thanks devajyoti, i visited same place where i was born today morning, they (secretary ) are saying i got to bring hospital verification that i born in particular hospital, but they have my record in registral one staff checked it also on certificate it mention same place but they need information from hospital, is that true that i news such information from hospital

regsitrar wants to verify facts that you were in fact born in hospital on said date . furnish information sought by them

You have to contact personally, the registrar of birth and deaths where it was originally registered / birth took place. If they do not agree you have to proceed court orders.

Anyway you contacted the Registrar of Births in your birth place and follow their instructions for rectifications.
