sir,
I reside at Panvel applied and received Legal heir certificate from the court but have noticed minor spelling mistake in the same my name is Laveena but it has been written as Lavina in the letter. which is due to Lawyer's carelessness because in all my documents my spelling is LAVEENA . So pls guide me how to rectify the same and the time period . My Lawyer suggests to use my name as LAVEENA alias LAVINA.
PLS HELP in this matter

Ms.Laveena,
By filing an application and an affidavit, you can request the court to correct the mistake committed. The Court has got the power U/s.152 of Code of Civil Procedure to correct the clerical, arithmetic mistakes. It would not be advisable to use your name as Laveena alian Lavina just because a mistake has happened.

Sir, how much time it will take because I need to produce the Legal Heir Certificate for the transfer of flat in my name at the earliest Got the letter after 15 months, is there any easy procedure hassle free, because court work is very slow and it is mistake by them by docs were correct pls guide

This is minor mistake and the transferring agency may rectify. If you rectification from court file petition with affidavit.

Sir pls let me know if I can file affidavit regarding U/s.152 of Code of Civil on my own without lawyer's help (handwritten) . Do I have to write it on any Stamp Paper.
