Legal Heir/succession certificate - reg

For purchasing an immovable property, which was registered in the name of a person who was died.
Which certificate is essential for purchasing the property.
Either legal heir certificate or succession certificate
please advise...

Letter of administration from court of competent jurisdiction.

if the deceased person left a will(registered or unregistered)in respect of his property then you required "probate" and if he died without making any will then "succession certificate".

If there is no will or thar person dies intestates then it is a Succession Certificate .IF there is A WILL then the will has to be probated from HIGH- cOURT.
