Is there any law which prohibits lending or borrowing of Cellular phone SIM cards between friends or relatives?

Sirs, I went through the IT Act 2000 and amendment of 2008, did not find anything connected to exchange of SIM cards.
Will be grateful if someone could help me here. Thanks a lot.

Every small bit is not made part of any law. So, you need not search for the same in the IT Act. You may or may not lend or borrow a SIM Card, just remember simple thing that any illegal incidence occuring out of any communication by use of the SIM will be the sole responsibility of the owner of the SIM card in whose name the SIM card is registered.

Law does not require you to be intelligent.It requires you to be a man of ordinary prudence and expects you to apply it every where while dealing with others.
If you apply the same here with your question you come to conclusion that SIM is not an article to be owned on any personal licence by government and only KYC is to be followed by company vending it.Then you can allow any person to use your SIM provided you are ready to face consequences if any misuse is made by the person so allowed.
