Locked in the marital home

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 26 July 2018 This query is : Resolved
I am planning to take a divorce from my husband. He is very abusive and oppressive. We both live in an independent house with nobody around and he keeps me locked inside the house in his absence. I do not have any relatives who can come and deal with him. Please advice me how do I go about it. Will a lawyer be able to get me released from his captivity(Probably by filing a police complaint) ? What will be the next step if my husbands objects for this ?
Please advice and oblige...

You can ask your relatives, parents to pick you up from the matrimonial home in his presence and need not give anything in writing to him of taking you with them with your sweet will etc., rather if he creates any trouble they can call the local police to get you out of his house. Let this be done in his presence without any fear.
