Lost allotment letter

where can i get the allotment letter which was issued in mumbai in the year 1962?
i had bought the land years ago and sold the land also now for the registry of the sold land the original allotment letter is required, where can i get that allotment letter?
the issuing office were (Government of India, ministry of works,housing and supply(department of rehabilitation),office of regional settlement commissioner,bombay-1)

You can apply to that department for certified copy.

It is very old case of about 49 years. Copy from that department would be available from the department of rehabilitation, provided the record is treated as permanent record of that office and would not have weeded out the record as per the rules of preservation of records prescribed for the said type of records.
