you can marry no bar. as long as your not rleated to each other there is no bar . merely because your would be husband is of same gotra as your mother would be no bar for marriage

There is no bar to get married with a boy who has the same gotra as your mother because your own gotra will be govern by the gotra of your father so your gotra is not similar to your proposed husband.

The Hindu Law of which you both are subjects does not prohibits SAGOTRIYA MARRIAGES AT ALL,it prohibits marriage on the ground of SAPINDAS 3degrees ascent to mother side and 5 degree ascent to father side counting from you to upper side.The next prohibition is with regard to degrees of "prohibited relationship" which includes following::

two persons are said to be within the "degrees of prohibited relationship"-
(i) if one is a lineal ascendant of the other; or
(ii) if one was the wife or husband of a lineal ascendant or descendant of the other; or
(iii) if one was the wife of the brother or of the father's or mother's brother or of the grandfather's or grandmother's brother of the other; or
(iv) if the two are brother and sister, uncle and niece, aunt and nephew, or children of brother and sister or of two brothers or of two sisters; Explanation - For the purposes of clauses (f) and (g), relationship includes-
(i) relationship by half or uterine blood as well as by full blood;
(ii) illegitimate blood relationship as well as legitimate;
(iii) relationship by adoption as well as by blood; and all terms of relationship in those clauses shall be construed accordingly.

HENCE YOU CAN GO ON.

According to law there is no bar if you get married with him. but according to custom apka friend aapki sadee ke baad aapki mom ko kya bolega mom ya Bua Kyoki aapke Mama or Apke friend ka ek he gotra hai.

Dear Mr. Jitender,
After marriage, the queriest's mother's gothra gets changed to that of her husband.

Therefore, after marriage, the husband of the queriest would call her mother as 'mother-in-law' or 'saus'. Why on earth anybody in that situation would call either "mom" or "Bua"? Quite funny.
