You are not disclosing the full facts. There is no need to pay complainant's travel expenses in a criminal case.

This Rs. 20,000/- will not be considered as yardstick for grant of maintenance.

You have not mentioned whether she is serving or not, maintenance decision depends on many factors.

your query lacks details on material facts .has court directed you to pay Rs 20,000 for her travel expenses? if you have taken loan you can rely upon evidence in support of said fact top show that you have no income but have borrowed funds

If you feel that the amount ordered to be paid to her for attending the mediation session is exorbitant and you will not be able to pay the same, you may inform the mediator that you are no more interested in mediation and let the case be reverted to high court where your transfer/quash case and stay is pending, this will relieve you from laying the platform for the expected maintenance case to be filed by her as foreseen by you.
