Manufacturer's and packer's address on the pack

(Querist) 18 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,

As per Legal Metrology Rules, the manufacturer's and packer's address has to be printed on the pack.

In one case, the final product contains around 5 components in it, each of it being manufactured at different location and finally assembled and packed at some other location. In this case, which address is to be printed on the pack?

Would it be sufficient to print the address of the packer who takes the responsibility of the entire product?

Pls advise.

Regards,

Normally most of the manufactures are given sub contract to manufacturing items. For your query answer is the seller and even it packed in various places.

It has to mention:

The party who assembled all these ingrediants to create final product and on whose behalf and the name of the packer.

The Company got the components manufactured and is packing at a different locality. As per the discussions, i understand that now the pack shall contain:

Manufactured by:
Company name
Address of the Company's factory where it was assembled and packed

Pls correct me if I am wrong.
