This is for the state of WB . I am not sure whether the same is true for Maharashtra as well or not.

for registartion of marriage in maharashtra you have to visit the sub registrar office , fill in the forms for registartion ,pay the processing charges , enclose copy of your wedding card, , residence proof, age proof, 3 witnesses have to remain present along with their identity proof etc .

Dear experts,
Thanks to all for sharing your opinion and I appreciate your valuable comments. Still I am not able to register my marriage, today I went to marriage registrar office in Solapur (Maharashtra) and they are saying that rules has been changed since 2006 and they not register solemnised marriages any more. They gave suggetion that get certificate from grampanchayat where I married. Actually I am applying for VISA in Netherlands and have the certificate from grampanchayat but embassy is not accepting tthat certificate. Embassy wants certificate issued from marriage register office not from any other authority.
Please suggest me how could I register my marriage and get certificate from register office in this situation.

Nagendra, u r right.
now have to go to local muncipal office, get the avl form with court fee filled up, with residence proof, photo. priest's sign who solemnelised ur marriage, whe, where, under what custom & certificate of marriage, 3 witnesses, tc, bal of ajay sethi.s adv but to local muni . i hope w u will be able to do it now.
