Dear all,
My mom has no brother and only sisters. Few months back my maternal grandfather passed away. Now the situation is that one of my "mausa" along with the support of other "mausa" and "mausi" is looking to sell the properties and get away with the money. They are not letting to distribute the properties equally between all the sisters.
Could anyone please tell what's the way to not let this happen? Is there any way to claim rights in the money got through the selling of property?
What would be the legal way through which we can assure that property is equally divided between all?
Thanks in advance!

It is believed that you are Hindu.
Has the Maternal Grandfather left a valid WILL?
Is it self acquired/self earned/ancestral/HUF property?
You may post full facts.
If you are short of time meet an able counsel specializing in family/property/revenue/civil matters and proceed to obtain injunction from court and partition the property with boundaries.

Your mother should file suit for partition.

1. Your mother has a share in the property left by your meternal granfather, is to be ascertained? If so, seek a partition of the property and an injunction (stay order).
2. Your mother must engage a local prudent lawyer for proper advise and proceeding.

Find a good lawyer.. File a suit for partition.. to stop any transactions over the property you can also publish a public notice in the local newspaper.
