(Querist) 20 July 2013 This query is : Resolved 
Petitioner filed proceedings in family court for divorce decree. REspondent failed to engage lawyer in the next two hearings . So it was set ex parte . What is the next step for the respondent to proceed. Under which provision should he file restore petition ?
Whether vakalat for respondent to be filed along with restore petition of after filing of restore petition ?

File an application for setting aside the exparte order and if exparte decree is passed then for setting aside of ex parte decree.

You need to engage a lawyer first by providing him vakalatnama who shall file the application seeking setting aside ex-parte order.
