My mother had made a Will as per my sister. In that Will One Advocate who is a notary also has signed as attested by and put his Notary stamp. One advocate has put his signature as identified by me. Two Witness have also put their signature. I would like to know meaning of "attested by and identified by me" in above context.

It means that one of the advocate has identified that the person who is signing on will is the same whose name is being mentioned there and attested means a power has been used to attest the document.

Any person signing as withness or attesting the legal documents such as contract or will etc. is only responsible for the identity of the natural persons signing the said document so that in case there is any dispute these witnesses can identify the executors of the document. They are not responsible for the contents therein unless specifically stated so.

Identification by advocate, witnessing the incident by the witnesses and attestation by notary testifies the authenticity of the executor of the will to be correct.

Dear Sir I wish to know identified by me means in presennce of him, the decease has signed? Attested by me means notary was present when the will was signed? or what and is it necessary for him to put this details into his register and get signature of the deceased at that point of time>
