Dear All,
I have taken an mediclaim policy with reputed health insurance company for my mother age 69 year in month of December 2012 for Rs 2Lakhs.
At the time of issuance she had hypertension and joint pain,which i had inform the company.
she was under medical treatment under an cardiologist when the policy was issued.
In month of July she had an slight heart pain and the cardiologist advice for 2D ECo and later angiography,there after she was advice for bypass.
I had to go for surgery, the total cost was approx 5.5Lakhs.
I requested the company for claim.but company has rejected the claim saying that pre existence disease.
Kindly request for your advice.

As per your statement "She was under treatment at the time of police" pre existence decease not cover .

Whether the matter about treatment by a cardiologist was mentioned in the policy? If the treatment for heart disease was going on, it would be treated as pre existence disease.
