(Querist) 05 April 2015 This query is : Resolved
I have been facing mental harassment often by my colleague at working place. Many times he disrespect me and make fun of my personal life. Following way he make fun of me by telling to other colleagues also:

1) He comments on by body shape. He told me that I look awful

2) He make fun of my hair loss.

3) He told I will not get any girl to marry

4) He told my wife, if I get will be most unfortunate on this earth.

5) He told my parents are very unlucky that they had got me.

6) He told I do not deserve for the profession that currently I am doing.

I requested him to stop doing this, also I told him I don't like his comments. But he does not care.

Please tell me, does this come under crime?

Why do you not complaint with higher officials of your employer.
You may also avoid talking to him. This may desist him from doing so.
There is legal recourse also but it is not advisable to seek just now.

Mr. Barman,

Thank you,

Can you please mention that what legal recourse is there?
I am asking, because if I tell him whatever he is doing comes under criminal offence, than I am sure he will stop it.

This will also prevent putting such issues in front of higher officials.

You may first exhaust the remedies available in the office by making a complaint against him with the superior/HOD or the top brass. If no response or desired action initiated, you may issue him a legal notice mentioning his undesirable activities and ask him to stop all such indecent and uncultured activities against you or else you may file a defamation case against him in a criminal court of law. This will bring you the desired relief.
