Sir
The PWs have given statements but there is no evidence to substantiate. For e.g. they have stated that one of the accused called A has said that this bribe is taken on behalf of B. This fact is not recorded by the investigating agency in the transcript nor this statement is recorded in the DVR Only these witnesses are saying.
Is there any judgement in corruption cases which states that mere statement is sufficient to prove the corruption charges but requires some evidence

There are many relevant judgments but you need to search those from either google or from indiakanoon.com

Ms. Mala,
I don't think your query has any relevance if you don't state at what stage is your case, whether the witness has been cross-examined or not, and for what purpose you need any judgment to be used at what stage of the case.
In fact, you had been asking queries pertaining to corruption case for the last several months without linking each other, as if you want to stitch the pieces of rags to accomplish an impossible job of bringing out a fine piece of cloth. But, how you propose that is any body's guess.
Please be aware, CBI cases, if handled casually, can lead to conviction only. Your defence should be fully planned strategically and effectively.
The question arises, what your defence lawyer is doing about the case?
