I booked an apartment registering 944 sq ft. The builder after completion claimed that wall thickness has been increased so my flat will be 24 sq ft (2.5%) more than the registered. Should I register the additional area or get correction deed?
Please advice.

2.5% change in area is very nominal one for which you need not make any rectification deed.

if builder is giving you additional area of 24 suqre feet accept it . get your agreement registered . the builder may not even charge you for additional area . even if he charges you pay it

REGISTRATION AND NOT RECTIFICATION WOULD BE THE WAY BECAUSE ADDITIONAL PAYMENT OF DUTY IS INVOLVED.

I don't understand the additional payment duty part. Since it is a new flat, we registered just the land. Also, I might not be getting the UDS for the additional area anyways.
