Hello
if an employee conceal information about his previous employer from the current employer at the time of appointment, can the current employer initiate action against him? it is worth noting that the concealed info has no relevance for current employer. in other no wrong has been done to the stakes of current employer as it was fresh appointment and the experience requirement was nill.

if no wrong has been done to the stakes of current employer action would be minor

you must state complete facts of your case . if concealed information has no relevance why are you bothered?

It depends on the policy of the company. The company can take disciplilnary actions on the basis of their policy.
The company asks for the employment history to verify the credentials of the new employee. if it is revealed later that the new employee concealed facts, then the company is very well entitled to take such actions.

As you have told that there was no need to disclose about the previous employment so nothing wrong has been done by employee and he cannot be penalized on this petty ground.

Concealing the previous employment is not a criminal offense. But, it will spoil the relationship, that you have suppressed some thing.

If information was desired by filling some form and it was concealed it would be employer's option to react in manner it wants when it reveals to him.
