There is no procedure that designated Senior Advocate should file Vakalatnama, it has to be filed by the counsel briefing him/who has engaged him. If in case the reply has not been filed before the next date of hearing either the same shall be filed by getting served a copy of the same to the petitioner/and or his counsel or otherwise the petitioner has a right to file appropriate application as per High COurt Rules praying that the right of defence of the contemner be struck off as he has not complied with the direction of Hon'ble Court.

on next date most probably you will find vakaltnama being filed on behalf of Respondents .
senior counsel does not file appearance . it is filed by advocate on record .
if no appearnce is filed draw attention of the court to said fact

1.On 17/7/12 pray to court not to grant more time to respondents to file reply.
2.If court grant more time to respondents to file reply then pray to court for the imposition of heavy costs on them.
