Modification? construction plan

Sir,
My client had purchased 2 adjoining flats in a building from builder. the 2 flats are registered as a single units. after the society was formed, 1 member wants service charges to be charged for 2 units.
There is no change in construction of bldg plan. the 2 units were sold as a single unit with just a door for joining the 2 flats.
Pl let me know whether adjoining 2 flats with a door amount to modification in construction plan.
the other member has questioned the legality of the ownership saying that modification was not sanctioned .
pl enlighten me

If two share cert were issued, u hv to continue separate mtn bills etc.,
in is minor chg / opening door.

service charges would be payable on 2 units . as per building plans sanctioned by muncipial corporation they are 2 separate flats . member is right both flats should have separate doors

If in the record, sanction plan these are shown as two separate units, maintenance for two is to be paid.

the above experts opinions are correct. Your client has to pay maintenance charge for 2 flats.
