Money not giving back

Hi Experts,
I had given some money to a person for creating new Ration card.
But that person is not doing that work , also not returning my money.
I have filed a police NC last week and officer on duty called that person and asked him when you will give back the money.He said he will give back by April end but I heard from several people that this person has done this to others and even after police NC he had not returned money. He is kind of champion in doing this kind of farud.
Please advice me , What should I do to get back my money? As a evidence I have telephone recordings of all our conversations. Also when I filed the NC he accepted that he has taken money in front of Officer on duty.
Please help me.

Though you can file lodge complaint for cheating, in absence of documentary relief and involving lesser amount of money the acse would be weak.

The money is just 6000 Rs, and as said I have only phone recordings and person accepted during NC, and nothing else..Will police file FIR in my case?Can I approach court directly if police does not entertain?
The question is not about money, I can still spend double amount to nab him.

Yes you can go to court u/s 156(3) CRPC to initiate the case u/s 420 IPC.

So you have paid this money to him for paying bribe?
You have recording for the same.
This case be at least a case of cheating and if he has posed his nearness to officials then it can be Prevention of Corruption Act also.
You file civil suit for recovery and you get nothing. Because the contract you entered with him was for illegal purpose and not enforceable being void ab-initio.

By the way does the bribe of ration card is really Rs 6000/- or you yourself were on to get bogus ration card.

Lodge a Police Complaint for cheating : Take help and let others too , join it. Police is bound to investigate such Bogus Agents for Ration Card, Passport, Visa, Jobs etc.
No need for Documents or less amt.

I have not paid any bribe.
I applied for new ration card last year with my own in which I have visited the office around 20 times atleast and could not succeed, You know being working in private company how difficult is to take leaves and come office late.I have all the documents that is required to make ration card. This time I given to him because of my last expirence.

One can not ensure you what your opponent would do in revenge or reaction.??But habitual offenders have no guts and live in physic of fear.
Anyway you can say that he misrepresented with intention to cheat you and undertaken your work done by him for a 6k fees of his services which in your estimate was cheaper than your personal to and fro to the supply office losing your job attendance but latter on it revealed to you that he is a cheater and his victims are many more.Better more and more FIRs by other victims are also filled.

if your documents are in order you have nothing to fear . you had engaged a agent to do the formalities as yu dont have any time to run around ration office . but for Rs 6,000 you will have to run pillar and post to nab the culprit .

what did he promise you while accepting money. You have not disclosed so far.
You have not disclosed whether he ensure his proximity with dealing officials.
Most likely you can file police complaint but not get money back.

You should take action against him preparing yourself to face any of revenge from his side, however, the possibility is minimum but none can be definite about human nature.

The police has taken a complaint for this under section 504, but that guy did not return my money? Do I need a NC copy to file a 420 case againts him ?
