Money was given for securing govt.job but did not secure job whether it amounts to cheat

complainant was given money for securing the job to the accused but accused failed to secure job. so it is my question is that when the contract is illegal,or as per sect.23 of contract Act the object is unlawful.Then whether complainant can file complaint against accused u/s 420 of I.P.C.when complainant know that it is illegal to give money for securing job.

you have not mentioned whether money was given to a recruitment agent for securing job ?Was it paid for getting a job in india or abroad? if he has cheated you he must have cheated others too . file a plice complaint aginst him

what job was to be secured. who was the proposed employer. who received money in which capacity.

was it govt job
