soceity in gated community asking for more money additional to regular maintenance charges on the name of development.As they say it is passed in GBM meeting of the socient so money can be collected from all residents. If denied to pay they are leving late fee charges. Any provision for not to pay or if to pay what are things to ask so that money is not missued?

Refer to your bye laws. If the later fees is exorbitant or causing great disparity among members then you can lodge complaint with Registrar of cooperative societies.
