Sir, The old aged mother filed dvc petition before jcj court for maintenance and other reliefs against her sister in law after death of her son. so whether is it maintainable in eye of law under dvc act if so please clarify

Legally Sister In Law is Not Entitled to Pay any Maintenance.Are you talking about Your Sister In Law and that is Your Mother is Seeking Maintenance From her Daughter in Law Is Not Clear.

Your mother in law is entitled for maintenance from her son, if he is not alive, if his properties have been enjoyed by his wife, then on that basis she can apply for maintenance provided she was not given a share out of her son's intestate properties.
