i had sold my car in september, 2012 to a person and execuated a notorized agreement to sell, but till date the person has not transferred the relevent documents pertaining to vehicle on his name , so is there any way by which i shall not be liable for future activities regarding the vehicle as i am the registered owner of the vehicle.

agreement for sale will not transfer the title of vehicle you need to submit transfer form to the nearest RTO office.

Agreed to the expert. Since you are the registered owner of the vehicle, you can be held liable for future activities regarding the vehicle. In such situation, you have to keep proving that you have transferred the vehicle to some one.
